Abstract Indentation tests are widely used to characterize the material properties of heterogeneous materials. So far there is no explicit analysis spatially distributed for short fiber-reinforced composites on mesoscale as well a determination effective cross-section that characterized by obtained measurement results. Hence, primary objective this study characterization mesoscale. Furthermore, it interest determine corresponding area which parameters valid.
